    A new child care program opened this summer at the former Chapelle Community School, an elementary school within the Ypsilanti Community Schools District at 111 South Wallace Boulevard, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.

    Ypsilanti Schools to offer interim superintendent permanent contract


    YPSILANTI, MI - The Ypsilanti School Board has decided to offer interim Superintendent Alena Zachery-Ross a permanent contract.

    At a meeting on Monday, Feb. 4, the trustees praised Zachery-Ross’ job performance since she took on the interim role in August 2018, noting that YCS passed a new sinking fund millage in the November election under her leadership.

    No Dream Deferred Production at YCHS

    The Black History Month production “No Dream Deferred” at YCHS has been postponed until Wednesday, February 27th due to potential inclement weather the remainder of this week. 

    YCS substitutes teachers are needed! 

    Daily substitutes are now at a $100/day rate and can contact EduStaff directly for the application process.

    YCS Transportation Bus Tracker

    Durham Transportation has been working to get the Bus Tracker Application up and running for parents to utilize during the school year.  Please find instructions on how to use the tracker and the benefits of the application.  The Transportation Department has tested several random routes and the application was fully functioning.
